The School bugled yet another incredible and eventful year, beginning with SAHITA Week- ‘The tripod of second language’. SAHITA expands to ‘SANSKRIT’, ‘HINDI’, and ‘TAMIL’ proudly and successfully taught in the school.
This week long program, commenced with lighting of lamp by the Dean of Academics, Mr.Visesh Aiyer and Senior Principal, Mrs. Aruna M Visvessvar, followed by melodious hymns from the Bhagavat Geeta: Chapter 10 duly rendered by Miss. Akshya of class VIII. Students of class VIII enthralled the audience by presenting a Voice and Vision program on the River Yamuna, depicting the mythological stories that happened on the banks of this river. Students of class IX staged a Street Play persuading the young audience to choose a rightful leader by casting their franchise wisely. The moral story of “EKALAVYA”, from the epic ‘Mahabharata’, dominated the following day.
The week culminated with a touching mime show, as a tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama terror attack and a mesmerizing and vibrating dance drama on “MAHISHASURA MARDINI”, which stole the eyes of the awestruck audience.
Dr. Krishna Kumar, an enthralled parent, was intrigued to share his thoughts and urged the students to take part in cultural activities, terming it a “CULTURAL BREAK”. He also accredited the relentless effort put in by the teachers to bring out such wonderful talent on to stage.
Principal, Mrs. Rincy Jose congratulated the participants, teachers and parents co-operation and urged the present crowd to take school cultural activities as pleasure, not as pressure, along with their academics.
