Achievements



Year 2009 -10

Adhyapana School started in 3 rented adjoining bungalows in Visthara Enclave, Vilangudi with 30 students and 11 teachers .

Several prizes were won at inter - school competitions locally.

Adhyapana School was shifted to own premises at Madurai-Dindigul Main Road, Vilangudi, Madurai -625 402.

Strength of the School rose to 137 students with 11 teachers .

 

Year 2010 - 11

Head Mistress Mrs.Hilarie Balachandran won the Best Head Mistress Award in Madurai through Rotary Club of Madurai West.

Strength of the School rose to 476 students with 39 teachers.

 

Year 2011 - 12

School got affiliation upto Middle School (Std X) through the CBSE.

Mrs. Aruna M Visvessvar was selected amongst all Principals of Global School Program on a recon mission to Salisbury, UK where she interacted with Heads of 10 British Schools to finalize Madurai's Global Partnerships with London. Mrs. Lindsay West was on the reciprocal grant.

In various inter - school competitions at this city level Adhyapana School students bagged several prizes.


Strength of the School rose to 998 students with 72 teachers.

 

Year 2012 – 13

The 1st  Batch of Std X appeared for Board based Examination and came out with flying colours. 3 Students got GPA 10 and all others very high First class.

Mrs. Hilarie Balachandran and Mrs.Sri Vidhya were on the Global School Program to UK as guests of  British Council, London. They  were hosted by our Partner School Sarum St. Paul's Primary School, Salisbury  Wiltshire. Miss. Alice and Miss. Lizzie were our guests on the reciprocal visit and hosted by us.

Adhyapana School won the "Best Script Award" at the National Drama Competition held by British Council and made its presence recognized on the National Platform at Kolkatta.

At local level competitions Adhyapana School students shone as usual.

Strength of the School rose to 1559 students with 92 teachers.

Year 2013-14

Mrs. Yamini Visalachi and Mrs. Meena Malini went on the International School Award Program to U.K as guests of British Council London. They were hosted by our Partner School, Sarum St Paul's Primary School, Salisbury, and Wiltshire.

Miss.Christie and Miss.Emily were our reciprocal teacher visitors from London.

Strength of the School rose to 1603 students with 95 teachers.

Academic

1st of Batch class X students sent to Board Examination.

Diksha, Nithyasree and Aishwarya scored centum in all subjects.

English : 7 centums, Tamil : 6 centums, Sanskrit : 1 centum, Social Studies : 4 centums, Science : 4 centums.

Non-Academic

  • All-Madurai competitions by Pothys and Radio Mirchi won prizes in Elocution, Group Dance, Solo Dance and Painting.

 

  • Kongu Sahodaya Group of Schools, Karur-Competitions- Prizes in English Skit, Folk Dance and Classical Dance.

 

  • KSR Akshara School, Namakkal - Quiz competition - Students emerged Quiz champions.

 

  • Keswick Public School-Relay Race Festival - Second prize in All Madurai Junior Category.

 

  • Sai Vidyalaya - Lalgudi- Yoga competition -8 out of 9 prizes, won championship.

 

  • Deepaham- Christmas Celebrations - Third Prize.

 

  • Mathematic, Science and English Olympiads - won Gold Medals.

 

  • 'A-Hunt' - a General Knowledge book and the first of its kind was released by the Social Studies Department Media publicity and accolades received.

 

  • Interact Club was inagurated under the banner of Rotary Club of Madurai West.

 

  • Jayland Nursery and Primary School - won prizes in Elocution and Craft.

 

  • Our Senior Principal, Mrs. Aruna M Visvessvar was presented the 'Amazing Women' award conferred by WE-WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS - A Business Empowerment Forum of the Tamil Nadu Chamber Foundation.

 

Year 2014-15

Academic:

100% results in Std X CBSE Board Examination(2013-14).

R.Keerthi Warrier, M.S. Bhuvaneswari, K.J. Nitin Reddy, R. Bala  Gokul Kannan, H.S. Arjun Balaji, S.R. Jaya Krishnan scored centums in all subjects.

Students securing First Class- 42

English : 13 centums, II Language : 28 centums,  Maths : 13 centums, Social Studies : 14 centums, Science : 10 centums.

Non-Academic Achievements:

  • Mirchi Kiddi Fest jointly organised by Pothys and Radio Mirchi -won prizes in English Elocution, Tamil Elocution, Tamil Skit, Quiz and Group Dance - won ` 25,000/- Cash Award getting the overall Second Place in the State.

 

  • Jayland Nursery and Primary School Inter School competition won First Prizes in Elocution, Art and Craft-overall first place

 

  • CENEXA - 2014 CEOA Schools won prizes in Story telling, Group song, Poem Recitation, English Elocution, Tamil Elocution,Trun Coat, Rangoli, As you like it won overall championship won -CENEXA Rolling Winner Trophy-2014.

 

  • School Cinema - 2014 English Week - Grand Finale - Top 6 movies written, produced, directed and acted by children were screened. Accolades and media publicity received.

 

  • Global School Partnership Programme  Mrs. Subhasree Srinivasan(HOD-English Department) and  Mrs.Anusha (Science Department) visited UK.
  • Madurai Sahodaya School Complex Inter School Kho-Kho Meet  Under 14 (Girls)- Second Place and Under 16 (Boys) Second Place.
  •        Mr. Praveen Visesh,, Country Head, India – FX Trading, Deutchse Bank conducted a seminar on Stock Exchange for the Commerce students of Classes 11 & 12.

  • .   A ‘Walkathon’ for the ‘Safety and Security of Children’ was organized starting from Tamukkam grounds, ending at Rasi Hospital.

  •         We are indeed proud to announce that we have been successful in making an impact by winning the ISA award for the years covering 2014 - 2017. In December, a function was organized by the British Council in New Delhi. Senior Principal was there to get the award.
